When I began this new #lovemyhat experience two weeks ago I was not afriad to admit that I was genuinely uneasy about it. Trilby’s and Baseball Caps were one thing, but a Pork Pie was not your typical hat choice. However, just as Walter’s confidence in his new situation starts to grow in Breaking Bad, so has mine in regards to the Pork Pie.
I am not in danger, Skyler. I am the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot and you think that of me? No. I am the one who knocks!
I know there’ll be some of you out there who might be thinking about purchasing a hat and maybe you too are a little nervous about wearing one. Let me reassure you that those feelings soon pass, are swiftly replaced with a sense of acceptance and then compulsion to always have your millinery friend with you.
Sure there’ll be times that you’ll get the odd comment, or you’ll find yourself chasing down the road after a particularly strong gust of wind. But it’ll keep you warm in the cold and dry in the rain and when the sun shines cast a most triumphant shadow across the floor.
